Statement
Perspective, specifically within the parameters of manufacturing, transportation, and marketing of goods and resources, is the conduit for the questions I ask about our distant and warped relationship with food production. I play with, research, and respond to materials and systems in order to understand their place in a global society, and consequently, decipher how they define my quality of life.
It’s easy to discount the labor and natural resources that are required to satisfy the needs of a global society. However, through research and education, it is possible to develop a dialogue about the ethical and environmental implications of convenience while learning to appreciate the energy and materials that accommodate our modern lives.
